What is a Physical Demands Analysis?

A Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) is a basically a document that tells about the physical as well as environmental exposures which are required by employees in order to finish job tasks.  They come in various forms with their different names.  Say for example, your company may ask for “Job Demands Analysis”, “Physical Demands Analysis”, “Functional Ability Evaluation”, or anything like these.  Needless to say the title, subtitle the information remains inside is more or less the same.

Job demands analysis deals with the force, frequency, performance, and time of various manual tasks like lifting, lowering, pulling, pushing, running and carrying. Say for example, if job responsibilities need employees to work in areas that which are beyond their core, job demands analysis will quickly call for that are required for doing those tasks and responsibilities.
